Bondaweb Appliqué is a Fashion Technique mostly used on children's clothes to create shapes and patterns. It is known to successfully make a piece of clothing distinctive, as the designer has the freedom to decide what colours and designs they would like to explore. 😍😍
The steps are fairly simple, would you like to see how I did mine? As you can see in the GIF, you can add as many details to your shape (mine was a flower) as you wish!☺️
ALL YOU NEED IS:
Steam Iron
Bondaweb Paper (CAN BE PURCHASED FROM HERE: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Meter-Vlieseline-Interfacing-Appliques-Patchwork/dp/B07FTN3S31/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Bondaweb+for+Applique&qid=1605312122&sr=8-6)
Different coloured Fabric!😇
Scissors
Pencil
1) Cut out ✂️ 2 square pieces of different coloured fabric, which in your belief would contrast with each other. You may then cut out✂️ a square piece of Bondaweb paper, big enough to fit the size of your fabric.
2) Ensure that your iron DOES NOT have water 💦 inside and plug it into a socket. Place your paper on top of one piece of fabric and iron on top to join the fabric and Bondaweb paper together. After approx 1 minute ⏱, they should now be stuck together.
3) Use a pencil✏️ to draw a design onto the Bondaweb paper. Then, cut✂️ your design out and place it on your 2nd piece of fabric to experiment how you would like to place it. Peel the back paper off from your design and place it on the 2nd piece of fabric.
4) Place a scrap piece of fabric on top of your design (to protect it) and iron on top for approx 1 minute⏱ in order to allow your design to stick onto the fabric.
AAAND MAGIC!!🥰
